Garry and Nyle have spent most of their lives in Ag Business.    Their grandfather, August Gruhn, began selecting ears of corn from open pollinated corn as early as the 1920’s.  By the 1940’s, August had started a seed corn company – initially calling it Gruhn’s Golden Dent.  As hybrid corn became the norm, and as Grandpa’s boys grew of age, he included them in the family business, calling it Gruhn Brothers Seed Company.  One of those sons was our father, Lyle Gruhn.

Garry, Nyle and a third son of Lyle, Mark Gruhn all became involved in the seed corn business.  Each of us spent most, if not all, of our lives in this business.  Dad died in 1993. 

In 2007, Nyle, Garry and Mark sold their seed business.  Mark still works in the seed business.  Garry and Nyle began looking for something interesting and useful to do.  Something that would keep us connected with farmers.  In 2008, they found just that. 

Garry and Nyle are using their combined “70” years of experience in agriculture to provide crop insurance protection for their long time seed customers and farmer friends.

Garry and Nyle are committed to providing each customer with a thorough understanding of today’s insurance products and helping our customers use that knowledge to make the best possible insurance and marketing decisions for their farming operation.
