Matt Klein- Matt grew up on a crop and livestock farm near the Northwest Iowa town of Remsen.

After graduating from Remsen St. Mary’s in 2001, Matt continued his education at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa.  While at Iowa State, Matt was a member of the Agronomy Club and served as Co-Chair of the Sales Committee.  Also during his time at Iowa State, Matt studied and toured Agriculture abroad in Panama as well as having internships with A+ Plus Lawn and Landscape, Garst Seed Company, and Crop 1 Insurance. In the spring of 2005, Matt earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Agronomy.

Post graduation, Matt was hired on full-time at Crop 1 Insurance and was named Regional Sales Manager for Iowa and Missouri.  At Crop 1 Insurance, Matt was responsible for recruiting, servicing, and training Independent Insurance Agents. After Crop 1 Insurance was purchased by Farm Bureau Mutual of Iowa in 2006, Matt’s responsibilities were expanded to Minnesota as well as working with Farm Bureau’s captive agent channel in Iowa and Minnesota.  Matt also spent time working on Crop 1 and Farm Bureau’s crop hail product development and implementation.

In late December of 2008, Matt accepted a Marketing Representative position with ARMtech Insurance Services.  At ARMtech Matt was also responsible for recruiting, servicing, and training Independent Agents primarily in Iowa, Northern Missouri, Nebraska, and Minnesota as well as competitive analysis for ARMtech’s crop hail program.

After a short time at ARMtech Insurance Services, Matt chose to move to the other side of the desk and start working on the agency side of the insurance business.  In late September 2009, Matt began his career with Crop Insurance Solutions.  Matt’s primary responsibility will be to provide sales and training support to Crop Insurance Solutions’ Partner Agents and Agencies as well as selling and servicing farmers throughout the Midwest.  Matt is also looking to establish new Partner Agent and Agency relationships in Crop Insurance Solutions’ twenty plus state service area.

Matt and his wife Trina currently reside in Lincoln, Nebraska.
